Carving meat from the spit at Crusoe's

Spit Roast on the Deck

An enormous cut of juicy meat slow cooking on a huge rotisserie is the perfect summer treat!

Carved straight off the spit and served with potato salad, some green stuff and a bread roll with gravy, we are expecting our new spit roast option to be a massive hit.

Our restaurant is gaining a reputation for serving great pub style meals with a bit of class. Located right on the water in Belmont, our diners can kick back and relax with the most magnificent outlook across the lake. Since kicking off a few months back, the number of diners coming through our doors on a weekly basis has near doubled! Our kitchen however is the same size and we are bursting at the seams. So to free up the kitchen staff we are taking some of the kitchen outside! Crusoe’s will be providing an alternative dining option on some of our busier days where guests can either order from the full menu in the restaurant or choose the spit roast option.

The Crusoe’s staff gathered together on Monday night to try out the new spit and it was delicious! The smell of the roasting meat over the flame was only bettered by the flavour and tenderness produced by this slow cooking method.

Our spit roast will be a ‘meat of the day’ (pork, beef, lamb) carved off the spit and served with some sides -potato or pasta salad, garden salad, bread roll and gravy. You can grab a plate of this spit roast goodness for only $25! Initially we will be offering the spit roast option of a Friday night. It is also on our function menu and from time to time we will advertise it for a weekend. We will keep you posted about specific dates and times we will have the rotisserie out. Thank you for your support and we look forward to continually improving our food and service standards.
